If a guy says he is "in touch with his feminine side" and takes like an hour to get ready before going out, does it mean he is gay?

No, it probably just means he's full of cr*p; that always sounds like a put-on. Its a silly, touchy-feely phrase that doesn't really GO anywhere. The real-world version of that is simply a man who realizes that no one's way of thinking is 100% right all the time and in this case, seriously listens to a woman's views and wants.
Men tend to go at things in a 1-2-3, straight-line fashion. Women cut across lines more and think in terms of interrelationships. A man doesn't have a "feminine" side as such; if he's smart, what he HAS is a willingness to listen and not charge headlong into everything. "Macho" is usually a code-word for "rude and arrogant." That's not the same as being really masculine, which is more a case of focusing your strength in the right places at the right times. That can mean asking your wife or g/f what she thinks and sometimes changing what you finally do with regard for her input. It can also mean setting aside what you want part of the time or at a vital moment because you understand that masculinity includes picking your moments in a sensible, fair-minded fashion. Having some compassion doesn't make you a wuss; it makes you a fuller person.
A smart woman who knows you will listen and bend for her sake, or even for the sake of your male counterparts, will think you're all that and a bag of big pecs. Its called Getting Along. Funny how well that works, AHEM.
As for that "gay" silliness, let it go. People are born gay or straight. Some may choose to switch off in their physical sexuality, but you can no more make a person gay or straight than you can change the orbit of the Moon by glaring at it. I once knew a gay guy at a job who told me that if he'd had a choice, he would not have picked that, because it was hard and lonely. My ex-wife and I also have a gay pal who is one of the best people we know. He found a classy partner and lives a responsible life. Once you understand the simple reality of it, it becomes a non-issue. Live and let live, because you will interact with people on FAR more levels than sexual ones in your lifetime. Take them for who they present themselves to be and how they behave overall, not for some small, secondary aspect of their character, especially when it does not affect you.
If someone tells you they're in touch with their feminine side, I'd be more concerned about them being a doofus with a runaway mouth than with their sexual nature. Sheesh!

Not necessarily. But he's more likely to be "in the closet" than your average guy who's not in touch with his feminine side and takes 15 minutes to get ready.

He is a Metro-sexual....women love guys who say they are in touch with their feminine side.........

You apply for a job....you tell the employer how much you want it...and qualify for it...even if it is a shitty job and you just need money

Dating is about physical appeal.......and saying what you need to get close....hetero or homo

I have some hetero friends who take as long as females to get ready to go out..........esp as they get in mid 20's...those hairs start growing on the back, ears, nose........pube density increasing.....creams for the not so soft skin that had as teenagers......gym to correct their beer indulgence and shrink the belly bump....

No. There are plenty of straight, masculine men who have an interest in or appreciation of traditionally "feminine" things like art, cooking, theater, poetry, or what have you. It takes a self-confident man to admit such a thing in today's world.

It means you have balanced hormones. If you like girls, and sports but also like musicals, Broadway. You are okay, just well balance. Guys who only like manly things have, two much testosteone. They cannot understand women at all. To increase your testosterone, I suggest to work out with weights. You can make great gains in only a month or so.

It means that he's acting like a woman, gettin' girly, you know what I mean?

Me, personally, I don't believe in a masculine/feminine side.

Not unless you live on "All guys who give a darned about their appearance are gay" planet!

My son's not anything CLOSE to being gay, but he takes care of his appearance. Showers regularly, wears clean and neat clothes, actually brushes his teeth and his hair, shaves regularly, even knows how to make sure he's appropriately dressed for different occassions.

Try it sometime.

Not at all.
A mans feminine side is his soft side. Like he falls for women fast and crys easily. He has emotions and he shows it.

Nothing at all to do with being gay.
