Oh, wouldn't that be sweet? I am a 40 year old Caucasian woman who plays rap when I am alone quite often. I love it. I am so alone out here!!
I do adore teh looks of astonishment I get though, when I sing or rap along to a song in its entirety, complete with maybe a minimal rumpshake that is much diluted with what I do alone. Shoot, I can drop down and get my eagle on with the best.

Eventually, but just remember "classic rock" is stuff from the 70's. Anything classic has to be 25 years old. I'm not sure but I don't believe rap has been around quite that long. and just FYI, I too am a 40-something white female and while I can't confess to rap being my favorite genre (that belongs to 80's rock/new wave) I do enjoy listening to it from time to time.
Hey someone tell me the difference between rap and hip hop. I'm not quite sure where to draw the line.

There certainly should be. Only you can't put any new stuff in that genre...all those new guys that are putting out hot **** now will have their turn...it can only consist of old school stuff, like De La Soul, Eric B and Rakim, Boogie Down Productions...you see where I'm going with this.

I love the reply, "...you can't put any new stuff in that genre..." lol. Oh, sorry. Yes, I agree that might work. I think the old stuff made more sense, and had less violence in it than today's RAP and Hip-Hop do.

Well, I'm just picturing the nostalgia concerts in a few decades--
70-year-old men in sweatsuits and gold chains going on about bchz-n-hoes.
I'm not sure I want to see that..

Actually it sounds like a great idea. Especially for those of us who basically think most of the rappers today lack the lyrical content that rappers used to have.
