No I think it means if you can get along good with the person before you become lovers. Like just having a sexual relationship it would go bad. But being able to get along with each other out of the bed is a good thing.

It depends on how strong the connection is between the two people and if they are willing to risk it, some cases friends can make excellent lovers because they know you, trust, and love you because they seen you at your worst and best. But sometimes the relationship don't work out and the friendship is completely ruin. Sometimes being friends is better then being lovers.

Actually I thought the saying was "older women make better lovers". I in the past had a friend that was a lover, it was hard not to develop feelings beyond friendship.

Seriously, it can be done, but the rules have to be very well established from the start, and even then there are no guarantees. It could still get complicated.
My own experience has been that the best lovers are people who were friends first.

Friends can make great lovers.... but it's my personal opinion that once you cross that line, you are no longer "just friends" inevitably, one of the 2, if not both, end up developing feelings...
In my book, it is near impossible to have sex without some sort of emotional attachment...
again, just my opinion...

I don't know how they just remain friends, but the first part of the question is true though. I'm kinda experiencing it first hand at the time...very true statement.
