I got this Hauppauge TV tuner with FM radio tuner. And it works great.
Let me add, many will say brand/price don't matter. I disagree, Ive owned several. ATI TV tuners suck.

I'm gonna assume you have a desktop. There are different ways to get t.v hooked up to your comp. You can either install a T.V. tuner card in one of the expansion slots in your computer or get one that plugs into a usb port-your choice depending on your situation. The tuner will have a coax connector on it to hook up cable and usually have other types of connectors on it for audio and such. The tuner will come with software and its just a matter of making all the connections, installing the software and following it's prompts when first setting up (scanning for channels, preferences, etc...). You can pick up tuners costing any where from 30 dollars on up and will come with variuos options such as HDTV capabilties, remote controls and DVR capabilities. You will want to have decent video card so check all the requirements to avoid compatability issues or hardware issues.

With a tv tuner card. There are a lot of them available. Some even do HDTV. There are some that go into the USB, but most go into a PCI slot.

The best way is to get an adapter that will allow a coaxial cable (TV CORD) to connect you your computer . Called a TV tuner.
