Somehow they're going to have to explain that they have no control over it. The people who voted for them on those premises that they were going to end the occupation in Iraq are not going to understand, and unfortunately at best any redeployment that may happen is probably 2 yrs away. A little to late to help the Dems in a positive way for their hopes of regaining or having a chance for the Presidency.

Put a Democrat in the White House who is FORCED to deal with the Iraq war as it stands, and try to extricate themselves without leaving a power vacuum like we did in Viet Nam. ALL of these attacks were ill conceived, No nation in modern history has conquered Afghanistan, and 3 have tried the British Empire, Soviet Union, and now the United States. And now the same can be said for Iraq.

They will pass by an enormous majority a non binding vote condemning the President,s actions. They will attempt to cut off funding for additional troops.Condoleeza likes to call it an "Augmentation". How Clinical and Cynical.

they'll cry and whine and try not to make it successful 'cause they dont want the president to look good, they need all the fodder they can muster,me personally, think its a good idea, but we need to let the troops do more than shoot only as a defense, its war and we should treat it as such, the insurgents from iran(Proxy war) needs tobe addressed and completed, only then will stability start to really exist

Your question is the very reason that the first thing the Democrats need to do is rescind the Patriot Act.

they wont do a thing, believing that bush is killing himself and then they will play the "i told you so" game....still not coming up with a solution...just complaints...
as far as what the dems will do in the next 2 years...not much..window dressing stuff to try and ensure that a dem will get elected in '08...then if that happens, watch the country slide into recession, socialism, and laws against religion, mostly christians, while appeasing muslims....
by the way...the corruption they keep talking about with the republicans wont stop for them...all politicians who are in office longer than 1 or 2 terms are crooked....

Whatever Bush does will not be any good, it would only be good if the Democrats did the exact same thing
