John Madden is a good football analyst/commentator. Al Michaels is the commentator/announcer.

Sometimes he talks to much about unimportant things. One time he spent a half hour talking about the 3 rivers came together at 3 rivers stadium... and another time he took away from the game discussing all the pigions that came to eat the scraps. There was more air time of the pigeons then of the football game.

I used to be a Madden hater with his rambling and dillusional rampages. But It seems this year that he is on some better meds.. He cut down those outrages eyebrows and actually almost makes sense breaking down plays.
He is a Hall of fame coach so he does know his football. Give the old man break. Go Farve......

I think he's a good guy. Although he states the obvious too much and has "Love-Fest's" over some of the Players (Brett Favre), he knows the business of Football from almost every aspect.
He needs to trim those eyebrows though.

He's a Super Bowl winner "old school"! He knows football and I think he's a likeable buffoon. And he's the best ad man Ace Hardware ever had! Madden ROCKS!

He needs to retire commentating. He is so boring. He states the obvious not just once, but like 2-4 times a game. He's an idiot. :)

the guy has a lot of personality and most of us grew playing the Madden series, so he is a celebrity for all of us 20 year olders.
He is a good comentator and his famous bus is one of the NFL's top assets.
