The book of PROVERBS states, A brother is born for adversity, but, a friend is a gift from God, so,,,you know brothers grow up and become friends....and friends do rival respectively,,,
Look at Bin Laden and Georgie Porgie Bush Jr. When the tape came out it reminded everyone how much we hated him, and we forgot to hate his arch enemy ,,,bushy boy, so then Bin Laden became Bushys best friend until we all remembered how he thinks hes God and can take away our Constitutional rights...so now they are rivals again........:O)

Yes, usually friends become very competative with eachother. Or at least one of them. I was in that situation before. When i wanted something my bestfriend will go out of her way to get it. And what i use she uses, simple things like that. At one point in time I got so sick of it so i decided to lie about this one thing that I wanted and sure enough she got it! Funny and pathetic!
