i stopped talking to this guy several months ago because hes a no good creep yet everynow and then he pops up and call s me and i dont know why he bothers.why do people do this whats the point.if their not gonna stay around shouldnt they just leave you alone forever?

You dn't say if this was a b/f or merely a friend so without more information I really couldn't say. But it sounds to me like he either didn't get the hint that you don't want anything more to do with him or maybe he just hasn't had closure in the relationship or friendship.
some ppl do it because they have good memories or feelings about the person and they want to recapture that feeling.
Others do it because they think they're all that and their sh*t don't stink and they think the world and all women in it revolve around them.
Some do it because they are bored, lonely, desparate, just broke up with a b/f or g/f and are looking for someone to make them feel good about themselves, or just looking for kicks or someone familiar to talk with.
The best thing to do if you don't want to confront him on this or to tell him to stop calling you is to just stop accepting his phone calls. Plain and simple.
with some ppl it doesn't do any good to confront the behaviour, it's like it goes in one ear and out the other. I would just stop accepting his calls.

maybe he wants to talk to you.that could be why he keeps calling.maybe he wants to apologize.
