my mom started wearing makeup in about 7th grade. (which is what i am in now) i asked her about me wearing makeup and she said not everyday until eight grade. however, she said that i can wear like light eyeliner or clear mascara.
any tips on what i can wear without actually "wearing" makeup?

oh and i have light blue eyes, light blonde hair, um..."sun kissed" skin. you know- not TAN but not really pale either.
thanks!

I started wearing makeup saround then-just for experimentation :P Just dont over do the eyeliner--it doesnt look nice on young girls such as yourself. try not to wear charcoal black eyeliner -its too dark and can easily look tacky -try a lighter colour like dark brown which looks pretty natural--as long as its lightly applied. Makeup at your age is not really necessary, but i guess its fun :) Dont wear foundation as your skin is probably nice anyway --foundation at your age might look tacky and too try hard. Blue eyeliner on blue eyes applied at the bottom or at the corners looks really nice and makes your blue eyes stand out. White/pearl eyeliner at the bottom makes your eyes stand out/bigger. Most of my friends who are 16/17years olf dont wear makeup everyday or that often, so theres no pressure for you-they just wear it occasionally. Make sure you moisturize often!! thats the best beauty advice!! it saves years of regrets later on. It gives you a nice glow better than any foundation. Just look after your skin --drink lots of water and be healthy. Dont wear oily things like foundation...etc-it just hides your aldready youthful natural beauty. It doesnt look nice. You can try sparkly eyeshadows for fun to make your eyes stand out--dnt wear dark colours. At your age --do a little makeup on your eyes (dnt do a full ciruit of eyeliner around the lower and upper lid) and lips. Try a peachy/beige lipgloss--it looks very nice and mature. But the colour depends on your preference and style. Make sure you dnt get obsessed with your looks--as wearing makeup makes you stress over how you look- just be carefree and have fun!

I dont understand why you're so frightened. i have been donning makeup considering i change into in all likelihood about 13 and that i didnt ought to ask b/c i stay with merely my dad, not my mom. Sorry i cant help you obtainable b/c i have in no way had to bypass by it. yet about the makeup. i imagine at 12 you should placed on mascara and lip gloss. and doubtless slightly of of eye shadow. Eye liner is merely too a lot. i imagine 14 is a sturdy age to commence donning eyeliner. And at 12 you do not desire starting up position yet. which will easily look like too a lot. in case you want to placed on all that you'll finally end up searching fake and over performed. So if i have been you i might want to easily follow mascara ((which makes your eyes look very fairly)) and lip gloss. =]

Yeah, you can do something light like your mom said. To get the most milage out of our blue eyes get a dark brown eyeliner - it'll make the blue show up more. Use a clear mascara like your mom said and a fun, soft pink or peach lipgloss.

You'll look pretty without looking too made up.

Well I am a dad of a 13 yr old girl and I feel you should be able to wear light makeup to help highlight your natural beauty. Remember Only use makeup to highlight your beauty don't hide it under makeup. but most of all you must respect the wishes of your mom and dad don't argue with them but rather explain why you think you are right being loud does not make you right

You're still a kid and shouldn't worry about make-up BUT you obviously do so...
Lip gloss. There are colored lip glosses and clear lip glosses but either way they add shimmer to your lips without really looking like make-up.
And while you're thinking about make-up, first think about taking care of your skin so you don't need tons of make-up to cover up blemishes. Wash your face with a FACIAL soap (they're designed for your face) and use a facial moisterizer as well. If you have oily skin you still need moister. It protects you from wrinkles later.
With your eye and hair color, stay away from dark eye liners.

Frankly, I'd talk to her again and ask if you couldn't wear some nice, clear or pale pink lip gloss. And some mascara. Brown isn't as obvious as black. Just some lip gloss and mascara would be fine, in my opinion.

yeah u r old enough, but i think the one kind of "make up " that makes the most difference is lip gloss, even though its not really make up. a clear one, like from victorias secret or something, makes anyone look sooo pretty, and its not even make up

Sure, you can wear makeup if you want, just don't go overboard with it. And also don't put on too much eyeliner, you don't want to look emo, do you? =0)
