At first, it seemed like the bad guys were Sam and his "gang" in La Push, where Bella's friend Jacob lives. It turned out that they were a pack of werewolves, and they seemed to not be bad, but they could be since werewolves and vampires do NOT mix well.

The real "bad guy" or antagonist was Victoria, from the first book, out to seek revenge on Bella. Her mate, James, was killed by Edward in Twilight, and now she wants to kill Bella (mate for mate).

Through most of the book, Victoria is tracking Bella, but she never gets her.

I don't know, but surely the best way to find out is to read the book? Otherwise, ask someone who HAS read the book, or search for reviews at amazon.com. A lot of people seem to think a precis is a review, and tell you the plot instead of commenting on the book's success as a story.
