I would agree with you. Cup of Life by Ricky Martin was the perfect song for the World Cup.

The Cup of Life is really good as well!
And for some reason I can't get Nessun Dorma out of my head, the first time I heard it was during Italia 90 and the whole of the UK went mad for The Three Tenors after that!!!

ya the cup of life represents the world cup really well. =] I would agree that We are the champion is probably the next closest one.

this world cup i think of Seven Nation Army by the White Strips you know the popopopo.... and Shakira's Hips Don't Lie Bamboo edition......and Azzurro .......lol tons of chants and songs come to mind when i think of this world cup..we are the champions
