i read all of them because i think its unfairif you dont because all those people who sit there spending their time answering these questions never get the points they deserve if they have a good answer that just isnt the first one on the list

I tend to do that on questions like "Who wrote this song?". If the first person to answer had the correct answer, I will generally give them the vote (unless there is a superior answer below it).
Otherwise, I always read all the answers and vote for what I believe to be the best answer - I will even vote for somebody who gave a better answer than I did for the same question.

Yeah, pretty much. I don't know why people don't vote for their own questions, it would be better they ususally know what the best answer is.
I try not to be guilty of that.....I just hate when the question has over 15 long answers
