It's a phenonmenon known as Parallax. The moon is so far away compared to all the closer objects in your field of vision.

It IS following us! Earth is responsible for most of the Earth-moon barycentric mass, so we're dragging the poor moon around the sun with us. No wonder why the moon looks like a little balloon on a string.

Imagine a large house that you pass-by may take 15 minutes but for a smallest insect in earth may take hours. Part of the reason is size concern. Now you know that the moon is so huge that u hardly walk pass-by the moon. hehehe :P

it stays iin one place but then when you move its in it looks like it moves with you but since the earth the people can see it all aroun the world whereever you go you can see the moon

Because it's a HUGE planet but not that huge and because it's rotating around Eath.So technichly it is following us. Hope that answers your question.

It rotates around us as we orbit the Sun so it actually does follow us.
