hi i have a dvd burner that came with my computer and it doesnt seem to be able to burn dvds. If i try to burn a cd or something it works perfectly. Could it be my dvd disc? im trying to write on a TDK dvd-r. and the dvd writer says its dvd r/rw compatible. I don't know what the model for the dvd writer is though. I was wondering if theres any tests i can run on it to see if its still working. Thank you!

Hi, for your little dilemma with the dvd writer, maybe that your dvd only supports either DVD+R or DVD-R (Also try different media, because sometimes some discs are not compatible with some dvd burners). So try these different dvd's to see if it works.....this usually happens on older dvd burners, but now both are compatible..

Anyways, if they dont work than go out and help your self to a cheap new one....something like LG or SAMSUNG.....they are a pretty good and cheap also...

Hope this was of any help.....
Have a great time
