That depends on who you are asking. There are tons of Famous Hispanic Americans that have been successful despite their race. On the other hand, there are others that have faced terrible discrimination because of their race. Most, if not all, discrimination is action based on prejudice resulting in unfair treatment of people and can be characteristed as direct or indirect.

By the color of their skin. The darker the skin color, the stronger the discrimination. Especially among Hispanic Americans. You can come from Cuba, be light-skinned, and then others come from Cuba, darker skinned, and the LIGHT skinned Cubans will have nothing to do with the darker skinned Cubans.
