Tristan & Isolde was the saddest movie I ever seen. The ending was depressing.

By far, I'd say "Grave of the Fireflies." It's about a young boy and his little sister's struggle to survive in Japan during World War II. Seriously - everybody I know that saw it cried at some point during that movie. So far, it's the saddest movie I've ever seen.

And here's the kicker...it's an anime.

The Life of David Gale...a man goes to great lengths to make a stand for something he strongly believes in, to the point of sacrificing his own life for the cause. I don't agree with the cause, but the passion that Kevin Spacey gave his character was nothing less than spectacular.

A close second to "The Passion of the Christ"...

That's a tough question, but...Beaches with Barbara Hershey and Bette Midler is definitely one of the saddest.

The Passion of the Christ. I saw it in the theater with my friend and I had my head in my hands practically the whole time crying. I'm not even gonna try watching it again even though its a great movie.

Testament - it was about a Nuclear Disaster.

The other one was The Cure about a little boy who discovers his neighbour has AIDS. He kidnaps the boy and takes him around to search for the Cure. It was so sad that even my boyfriend was sobbing by the end of the film.
