What I'm saying and eventually asking is, I see alot of people at school (dudes doing this) that wear a plain white t-shirt under the regular shirt that they wear every day. Now I'm just wondering if this is the new style or what? Are they trying to hide their man-boobs from showing? What? Could someone explain to me why this seems to be the new "trend"?

Yes, it's referred to an "undershirt" or "tee-shirt" and it's been a trend for years. The intent is as follows:

1) Protect outer clothing from sweat and deodorant stains, which are nearly impossible to launder out. Tee-shirts are cheap and can be easily replaced, whereas a dress shirt can be rather expensive.

2) Comfort - tee-shirts are very comfortable. Some dress shirts are, but others aren't.

3) Layering - when we are cold or moving between cold and hot rooms, it can be helpful to dress in layers for easy adaptability.

There are two mainreasons for wearing a white shirt under a regular shirt:

1.Its the undershirt
2.Because matches

Many people at my school do this too. Its the way things are!

Probably to keep warm, I usually put a tee shirt on under my sweaters for work because my office is as cold as a meat freezer in the winter and in the summer too.

I do in the spring, winter, and fall. Crew neck works just fine, though you can also do a v-neck if you don't want it to show, but still want to protect from pit stains. Any subdued color is good, though I usually stick with white, grey, or navy blue, depending on what color the outer shirt is.

It 's NOt a trend. It is the MOST comfortable thing to do. I am a woman and I constantly layer my clothes.

A t-shirt under your shirt or sweater keeps you warm if it's cool and keeps you cool if it's warm.

TRY IT!! YOU'LL LIKE IT!!

You may NEVER go back to just ONE shirt again!!!!

I am acctually a girl and I pretty much always wear a white cami under my tees. Layering is very in style and it just feels more comfortable.
