Actually, all clothing should be laundered before wearing.
When they work with cloth in the manufacturing process, they use a type of sizing (like a mild starch) to keep the fabric flat while the machines cut it. Over time, this chemical treatment can give off fumes, especially if the item has been packaged in plastic. Also, depending on the type used, it can cause contact allergies for some people. Wash before you wear!

I don't wash underwear before I wear it. I buy the packaged kind, so to me, there's no problem. I wash bras and nightwear on hangers that may have been handled a lot.
The only clothing I wash before wearing is dark items like jeans or pants, or red articles of clothing. Sometimes the dye will rub off on undergarments.

I f you are asking this question then I am sure it would bug you not washing them especially underwear. It does not bug me so I don't wash clothes before I wear them. I like the look of unwashed new clothes.

you always must wash 'new' clothes before u wear it. just imagine all the people trying them on before u bought it...also, even if they haven't been tried on by other people, the fabrics have chemicals in them that u don't want rubbing on you for a day. moreover, the places where the clothes are made is not always the cleanest place. so better to be safe than sorry.

If it's sealed in a plastic packet, then it isn't always necessary to wash it. But the ones on hangers in the shops, must see soap and water before it touches your body's intimate sections; you don't know who or what handled it before.

Oh yeah. Even if no one wore them before, you don't know who handled them. Plus they have special chemicals that need to be washed out of them. They make me itch if I try to wear them without washing them first.

You probably don't HAVE to, but I do. Especially if they are sold in a way that people try them on before they buy them.
