Do you believe in hautned houses and ghosts? And, if so, do you believe they can actually hurt you?

If you know of ghosts actually hurting someone, please tell us the details!!!

Yes there are ghosts or spirits (souls) that stay on this plane because they did not follow the light to heaven. There are many reasons why that I wont get into here.
Many times they stay in the homes they lived in or places they loved. They can see you and can complain that you are there by throwing things, turning lights off and on, any electrical devise off or on, or other things that may disturb you. Spirits love to pull your toes at night. It is just a spirit thing and I used to have it happen to me when I was a child. I could never figure out what was doing it and I saw nothing. But when I got older I read that spirits like to do this to get your attention.

I do not believe ghosts can hurt you. Evil spirits can. There is a difference between the two. Evil souls stay on this plane to cause havoc while good souls do not know they are dead so they try to continue their lives. There are many more good spirits than evil and our angels protect us from evil. You only have to believe and trust in God and ask for his white light of protection. If you home is haunted, I can give you a blessing you can do, just ask.

Let me tell you what happened to me last May. I will make it brief but it is TRUE.
I took my sister in law and brother (in there 40's) to stay on the Queen Mary Ship & Hotel in Long Beach, Ca. It is known as the haunted ship and there have been many documentaries about this ship. But they let people rent the rooms. We had two rooms around the corner from each other. We were told our level A was not that haunted and that level B was very haunted. My brother raised a fit because he could not get a room down there. I was happy here, thank you.
Two ghostly things happened in our cabin:

I took a shower the next morning with a ghost. How do I know? The tiny ship bathroom filled with steam. As I stepped out of the shower a huge footprint appeared right before my eyes on the black toilet seat. It looked perfect and about a size 13 (like my son). It came in the direction of just getting out of the shower. And there I stood naked with him. I stared for 5 mins before I ran to get my husband who was not feeling well. He ran in but the steam was gone and so was the print. It was real. And the lid was shiny as can be.

We left my husband in bed all day sick. We did not know what was wrong with him. We came back about 2pm and he sat up and started mumbling a bunch of history about the ship and its spirits (they told him they wanted to be called spirits not ghosts). He knew all kinds of information and told us about the spirits in that hall and cabin. Then he snapped out of it. Later that day we went on a tour of the ship and they mentioned some of the same information that my husband was babbling on about. How could this be? I really belive they gave him this information while he layed sick. It was amazing.

Dont worry about ghosts. They wont hurt you. They did not hurt us and could have.

I discuss paranormal. Generally a Ghost can do absolutely nothing except amaze people. Very few if any have enough power to harm or hurt a person.It is a misconception the the ones called Shadow People or Shadow Figures are Evil. They are a Spirit in a Ghost Image in a different state of appearance. It is generally assumed if they display Red Glowing eyes they are demon of nature. Their existence is astronomically low in numbers world wide. Not common and experiences with them is rare and quite unusual. All the talk and discussions about Ghost make people think the number of Ghost that exist are vast in numbers, but they aren't. It is he energy levels of the Spirit in Ghost form that moves objects, the Ghost or Spirit does not do that themselves because they are not a physical presence. Good advice for people is to only believe about 3% of all the things ever said about the paranormal. There are just things that do not fit into Spirits and Ghost activities and behaviours.

I most certainly do believe in haunted houses. I live in one. The spirit that is here I was unaware of for the first several years. Then all of a sudden one day, the corner that I was sitting in turned ice cold and I smelled cigarette smoke. I don't smoke, so I immediately looked outside all around the house to see if someone was there. There wasn't. Good thing too as there was a blizzard coming down. This happened several times over the next several years. Then all of a sudden last year, I could smell cigar smoke in the middle of my living room. Once again, there was no one outside. And lastly, one day while brushing my teeth, I heard the most beautiful music ever coming from inside one of the walls. I had no music playing anywhere and there was no one outside the house. The music stopped after several minutes. It could have played forever, it was that beautiful.

I've never felt threatened and I've lived here for over 20 years. I do know that a gentleman hung himself in I believe the attic many years ago. I heard that from a retired policeman who is a friend of the family.

I've never seen a ghost, though I do believe in them. And yes, some of them can hurt you.

As far as I'm concerned, the spirit can stay as long as he likes. This was his home long before it was mine.

i have read in a recently published book, do not remember title or author, of a ghost in a Tucsan arizona municiple building, that a security guard has to be places around, because the ghost or spirit pushes people, this book is maybe five years old the most, more like three
people told me, their relatives were not believers in such things, were care takers in restorations, and the furniture kept being moved with no explanations, my friend told me his brother left that place and is now a believer in ghosts , me i saw something once, was not a ghost the person is still alive or was then, but something like an apparition, my explanation, must of needed sleep, i was very tired

I believe in haunted houses and ghosts.My girlfiend used to work in an old historic inn that was built in the 1800's.She saw ghosts on a regular basis when she would go to work.She worked the 2-noon shift.Now she works at a nursing home,same shift and has told me stories about seeing and hearing ghosts.None have tried to harm her though.And for all you naysayers who say this is bull,I have been with this woman for over 7 years and she is a non believer in anything else remotely supernatural,so she is not some kind of freak who sees stuff everywhere.And I have seen a few strange things in my life too.

I have come across many spirits as an investigator. There are VERY few that will or can hurt you. In years of doing research I have only seen one that I would call dangerous. This one actually picked up a two year old girl and threw her out of a room, slamming the door behind her.

But the way that King was under hypnosis in "The Lord of the Rings", if the spell could be broken just like that: it must have been a ghost inside him.

yes. There are evil spirits & then there are other ghosts. Don't play with Ouiji boards or spells. You might bring out something you're not prepared for. Some ghosts are harmless.

I believe that ghost, spirits, poltergeists, and any other mysterious "haunted" apparitions are no more than figments of the gullible human mind, prone for delusion when the thought of such a thing existing turns into fear and panic in their mentally-weak minds, they are products of our quite capable imagination, the child spawned from an old wive's tale told to children long ago to prevent them from wandering out after dark or entering forbidden homes, they are a tool Hollywood uses to dish out cheap average run-of-the-mill movies designed to haunt you and install this very belief into your mind. And they are nothing more.

When I was little, before my family had any cats or animals that could do this, my family heard crashing in the kitchen at night. My dad went downstairs to check it out and we heard him yell something, then the crashing stopped and he came back upstairs with cuts on his hand and face. He said he could swear that glasses were flying out of the cabinet and one of them shattered on the counter right in front of him, but it stopped after that.

I'm sure there's a good explanation for it, maybe we had mice in the house and they were scurrying around in there and knocked over some glasses. I don't know. But it's still creepy when I think about it.
