I do, in fact, have such an item.

My Great Uncle (so that would be my Gramma's brother) served in WW2. He was stationed in Germany, and he happened upon a house that was destroyed by a mortar shell.
The only room left in the rubble was the living room, and on the mantle was a tiny pewter figurine of a mother cat and her kitten. He took the figurine, and planned to find the owner and return it to them as he had found it, 100% intact.

We have tried our as$es off to find out whose figurine it is, and there is simply no record of the home ever being there.

Pictures of former president Ronald Regan when he was making movies with Warner Brothers. He was young and dapper then. I found them in Germany at a street market (flea market) just about a year after the wall came down. I have a piece of the wall as well.

Hmm. *looks around the room* I could lie and say that I have a shruken head in the closet. : ) But I won't do that to you. Um, well, I do have a collection of autographed photos in frames around my writing office from moviestars of yesteryear. Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers, Gene Kelly, Cyd Charrise, etc. *shrug* I don't know...it's not a shrunken head, but it is kinda out of the ordinary. : )
