bureaucracy is alive and kicking in many forms of work, many tiers of management, supervision, hierarchy, separation of tasks between departments, little attempt to join up the task for the benefit of the customer.
staff with least qualifications on the frontline while managers are further and further removed, delegation of tasks

what do you mean of new forms of works?
i didnt really observed any new forms, bureaucracy is still alive.

bureau comes from latin office, desktop
cracy means also latin to lead, leader.

i cant name any type of work where there is no bureaucracy. the change of owncompany, needs controll (burea..) too, graphic, design needs controll too.

about bureaucracy there are many many theories, which stands very good now too. Monsieur de Gournay, Max Webber, Nortche Parkinson, Blau, Crpzier, etc....
