There is no real career in cryptozoology possible, because careers require two things that are missing here - a source of income to pay you for your time (which you lack short of getting charity funding from someone to do research), and second, a output that you can make that creates value to the person who pays you (which you lack because there is no real value in knowing).

As such, cryptozoology is widely recognized as more of a hobby and psudo-science rather than an actual field which you can make a career of.

For personal interest though, check out the website http://www.cryptozoology.com
Its a great website with a super-active forum community that i've posted on for years.
If you create an account and post, say hi, my ID there is saint.

Actually though, there is a class I've heard about being offered at a university or school regarding cryptozoology by someone on the site I mentioned. Maybe they can inform you more about it.

Cryptos usually don't get paid. They usually have a real job, usually a professor or someting, and crtypto is their hobby. Since mainstream science doesn't recognize crypos as a proven feild, it's hard to get someone to pay for it. Most crypto money comes from private investors.
