I have WMA playback enabled, but all WMA files are shown as unsuported data, while MP3s are playable...

Well, since i did say that i have WMA playback enabled i assumed it was obvious that i must have a new firware version, that being 3.02.

You have to upgrade your system software to 3.03 to get it automatically.

well, we first need to know what firmware you psp is at. Firmwares 2.00 and below have the option to enable wma playback, but does not support the data. (dont ask me why), but if you upgrade to 3.03 it is automatically enabled along with flash, and there are visualizations for the music player.
