Employers can tape you in the workplace. I am not sure of the law in NY but you may have to give him notice that his actions could be recorded. If your employer has already given the employees notice that they could be recorded in the workplace, there would likely be no difference if you did it.

Try to stay around others, if possible. This is not your fault. Good luck with this.

I had a boss once who was bad news in the harrassment department. He actually showed me a picture of him with an erect penis that was taken at a bachelor party. I walked out and filed a police report. I wound up quitting my job because he was also the owner. However, it was just a part-time job and I got a better one.

I would tape anybody if I had to. Especially my boss.
