I want to shop around on the internet, but what are the companies?

i'm sorry... this got posted a second time, but this is the original.

i'm interested in service companies... though that first poster was correct with how i first asked (types of phone, thanks)...

i live in the US and am interested in service companies (like Sprint) that also sell cell phones. thanks

They are not called cell phones in Australia, they are mobile phones. Call them cell phones and a lot of people will not know what you are talking about. The major companies are Telstra, Optus and Vodaphone. Telstra is the biggest and owns all the infrastructure which the others use. There are other companies which pop up from time to time. I use Telstra and have few problems with them but I have had problems with Optus. You will find other people where the reverse has happened. Check out all the companies when you are getting your mobile and look for the best deal for you. The deals change regularly but you will find one that suits you.

sprint, cingular, t mobile etc....
It really depends on what kind of phone that you want, not all companies carry the same phone types. Remember this .... A plan is easy to get into but very hard to get out of!

US Cellular, Verizon , Sprint, Nextel, Virgin Mobile, Iwireless, Tmobile, Cingular..thats all of them I cant think of off the top of my head.Hopet his helps...

Verizon...........Dude u gotta get the LG Chocolate. Those are the best cell phones on the planet.

Not sure your location in Australia, there is Telstra, Optus, Vodafoe, AAPT, Virgin and so on

samsung and motorola.

and i'd go with either Verizon or Cingular, less dropped calls and they have great plans. :D
