... on my butt???

Yes, I know it sounds funny, but that's what I suspect I'm having. This morning I was looking at my butt and I saw these purple-red stripes... I was wondering what the heck that is... and then it hit me... Please tell me that I'm wrong ;)

I'm almost 6 months pregnant and I don't have any strech marks on my stomach (but I guess that's coming too?) and I'm skinny and my butt didn't get any bigger, so why? How is that possible?

Please, help!!!

LOL YUP!!! I got them on my butt and Sides before i got them on my stomach and breats. The good thing is that they fade., and a bikini should cover up the marks untill then if you feel the need to go to the beach. My friend told me washign with a loofa helps keep them from getting worse, another told me that would actually cause the marks to get worse. I tried it anyways and It didnt make them worse or help them get better. Oh well. Good luck, they'll be almost gone about a year or 2.

I too didn't have any stretch marks in my 6 months, but after that I started noticing them too, and I put on so many creams....but if you are going to get them, you are going to get them no matter what! I know..that is awful...and the worst part is, you don't really see all of them until you have the baby, and you body gets back to normal. But well, they are a great reminder of that bundle of joy!! Good luck!

Sorry but thats what it sounds like. I didn't get strech marks on my stomach during my first pregnancy but I did get them on my hips so I think its just a matter of if you get lucky or not. They've faded now and honestly since I got them i'm glad it was there instead of my stomach.

Two Words........ Cocoa Butter

I couldnt tell you why it is happening besides the obvious that you are pregnant. I'll let a female answer this question in detail. I'll suggest using the lotion above to help reduce the amount of stretching done to your glutes, waist, and stomach as well as arms.

Some women gain weight in different places, so they will get stretchmarks in different places. I got horrible stretchmarks while I was pregnant! I got them from my pubic area all the way past my belly button, on my sides, on my lower back/butt, thighs, and the back of my arms :( I used the lotions/oils...anything and everything, but nothing worked for me, I still got them. My mom had bad ones too though, and stretchmarks can be genetic, so unfortunately if your mom or grandma had them, you will too.

Good luck!

Well, your skin stretches from all over to cover the belly. Your butt isn't that far away. Skin stretching to the front could put stretch marks on the butt.

Welcome to motherhood. My belly was pretty as could be. Not a stretch mark to be found all they way til the end. My hips, butt, and breast were another story! Still wouldn't trade a stretchmark free body for the love of my little munchkin.

when i was pregnant i got marks from my pubic line to above my belly button all the way around belly butt and back!!
oh and thighs and boobs too. just watch your weight gain and remember to test areas with moisterizer to see the effect before semerging your whole belly in it
(i was told to rub down with cocoa butter when i was 7 months to prevent marks (up to that point i didnt have any) the morning after i put cocoa butter all over me i woke up and was covered in marks. (litterly covered)
so make sure your compatable with the lotion before you put it all over.

I really don't know what to answer to that. Try using Palmer's Cocoa Butter. There really isn't much one can do for stretch marks.
