Depending on where you live, this may be a clogged fuel injector or filter.
Sometimes the computer may have slipped a chip. This can be evaluated in a moment, verses you taking the time to try to figure it out, even if you are a mechanic.
One more thing, I had that problem and it was a broken distributor cap. At night when I started it, I could the crack.
Been there. Good luck.

you have a busted vaccum somewhere around your fuel pressure regulator. wich when it loses pressure it cant control the gas it feeds by giving it gas on a fuel injection all it does is opening more air and allowing it to vaccum more air thats why it cant keep the motor running. also your fuel pump needs to hold constant 45 pnds of fuel in that line minimum of 30onds to start maybe its going on the bum and only holds enough to start . you might get stuck with this if you dont fix or find the problem soon. good luck and happy new years! if your not mechanically inclined mechanics may play with you on this one.cause it can be a number of things i recommend you take it to someone you know.

sounds like a fuel problem , you should probably take it into a garage and let them check the pressure at the injectors and before the filter that way you know what all your going to need . I know a little about infinity's so I will guess $14.88 at advance (fuel filter) most common problem :) good luck

Try a fuel injection cleaner and replace the spark plugs and wires.
If you have faulty wires, your not getting enough spark while the car is in idle, and it will shut off.
If you have dirty fuel injectors, once again, your not giving the car gas when in your in idle so you might not be getting enough fuel to keep it fired.

i own a repair shop, and it sounds a lot like you have a clogged fuel filter on it,,either that or the fuel pump ,or the relay is going out on it,,this is how they,ll do when there starving for fuel,,and that's what it sounds like yours is doing,,take it to any auto zone and have them scan it for any trouble codes,,its free, and it will help in determining what might be the cause of this ,,good luck i hope this help,s.
