This is questionable as Wikipedia articles frequently contain cites to other sources. In any case the direct content used should be cited as coming from wikipedia, and I would probably include any relevant citings from the text used. As of now there is not an article existing related to "Citing Wikipedia in other works."

I don't think you did since Wikipedia is pretty much a free-for-all and anyone can post anything one there. I would question your research for your book however if Wikipedia is your major source as it is a free-for-all. You can probably find higher quaility sources out there with a little effort.

I doubt it would since Wikipedia is a free-for-all. However, you should put what you copy in quotes and reference your source. If you try to just copy your whole report, you will end up failing. Teachers are not as stupid as you think.

Why would you consider using Wikipedia????

I could go into Wiki tonight and put in an entry saying you were the king of all cheese....doesn't make it a fact.

How stupid would you have to be to quote it?

No, because none of the articles Wikipedia is copywritten. That IS, however, complete and total plagiarism.
