what do you think of guys and glasses??

ok i just find out today that i am going to have to wear glasses permantly, i wasnt expecting this news and am still a little shocked. as far as i can see most people consider guys who wear glasses (or girls) as looking "nerdy" or "geeky" which i can tell you i am neither,lol. most people i thik consider a guy less attractive if he has glasses on is what i see from most people. so id just like to know honest truth from real peole on what you think of a guy who has to wear glasses,im 22 and wondering if i should just not wear them and say i did. any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

I think they are cute. But just because someone looks good in glasses doesn't mean that they are nice guys ya know?

So I guess what I am trying to say is, women have no issues with glasses as long as the guy is nice and charming and not a dink.

Depends on the frame. Glasses can be cute and make a person look better, but they can also be, as you said, geeky and nerdy. But, because so many people are needing glasses now, you can get better frames, even from designer brands. Just get a pair of glasses that you like and fit you're facial structure, and they won't look geeky or dorky or anything. And if you really do not like glasses, then you can ask your doctor about getting contacts or Lasic surgery (I'm not sure how to spell it). Everyone now needs glasses eventually, it seems, so don't feel left out. But do not go anywhere without wearing anything to help your eyesight. It's dangerous to you and other people, especially if you're driving.

i would first get a second opinion, I have heard a lot of people who wear glasses don't really need them.
It is my understanding the muscles that hold your lens in shape become weak if they are not used enough, in other words if you focus on near objects for long periods.
These muscles are like any other in your body they lose tone if they do not get a regular work out.
i would first try building up the strength of these muscles by doing a "lens work out" do this as often as you can during the day, this entails focusing on objects that are far away then pulling in your focus to near objects, make it a habit to change your focus as often as you can.
This might be painful at first, but after a while you may see some improvement and the find you don't need to wear glasses.
This answer does not take into account other reasons for needing to wear glasses.
some of the most respected people wear glasses, so I do not think most sincere people care if you wear glasses or not.

Guys either look geeky smart or hot smart. If they're hot smart, it's only because black glasses make guys look mysterious and smart, and girls love that (Johnny Depp almost always wears glasses on the red carpet, and girls still love him anyway).

If you don't find any glasses you like, you could get contacts maybe. They're a bit more expensive because you have to reorder every few months, and it takes about 2 minutes to put them in in the morning too. If that isn't an option maybe lasik eye surgery if you're desperate.

Go to a high end store to shop for glasses, dress nice and act like you've got money. Get help finding the most flattering type of glasses. Generally you want a glasses shape that is opposite your face shape. If you can't afford them there you at least got excellent advice and know what to look for at the cheaper places.

With the right pair of glasses you can look very smart and sexy. No worries!

There are some glasses that look good on people, like the ones that have a no bottom rim.
The only reason for you to look bad in glasses is if you have big bulky glasses, or if your prescription is so high or so low that your eyes look disproportioned to the rest of your face.
Guys with glasses aren't bad. I know a couple of cute guys who were glasses.

Depends on the guy and the glasses. Sometimes guys look really sexy with them on, but it depends on the style of glasses and the guy. If I see a guy that looks great with glasses on I can only imagine how great he looks without them. You can always wear contacts in public and glasses at home. Either way to me it doesn't matter if he wears glasses or not, if I'm into him that makes no difference.

Don't worry about it!
If you are eligable to try contact lenses, you may want to explore that option, but wire rim glasses are the most flattering on men (my personal opinion).
No matter what you end up with, men and women alike can be forced to wear glasses, so you are not 'weird' or anything! Glasses make people look 'intellectual'(!) Just work with your optometrist to find the most flattering frames and you'll be fine!

I think guys with glasses look intelligent, and I think they can be sexy looking as well. Make sure to get the right style for your face. And if you don't like them, try contact lenses. But don't worry, people will accept you for who you are. Hope I made some sense to you. Have a nice evening !!!

some glasses can be very cute and others can be like WHOA.....my bf has glasses and let me tell you hes no nerd.... he is the Qb for our HS varsity football team so dont think glasses are going to be a downer for you.... as long as you have a good heart thats all that matters,,,they will see beyond the glasses...just think of them as part of you.... really...you'll be fine,,,and wear them so you can see...lol i bet you'll look pretty cute.....you'll be fine.. good luck with the ladies!!!
