just like the decline of the roman empire we have corrupt politcians selling us out just like they did. it takes time but like rome, we are getting there slowly but surely. the trouble with democracy i think either plato or cicero said is that once the politicians learn they have complete control of the money, they take it for themselves. the economy weakens first. then the rest.

There is no question as whether The United States of America is in a state of decline. Of course it is. No doubt there could and probably has been many books written on this subject. I have not read any of them and most likely won't. The reason is, most likely they would be like a politicians speech. Say a lot and reveal nothing.
The reason for our downfall is before our eyes, yet for the most part, it is unseen. A couple of words will tell all. TOO MUCH. Yes simply too much. Too much what? Really want to know?
OK, TOO MUCH BULL SHITT. What is BULL SHITT? OK the list is endless, however here are a few examples.
Decline in morals to amoral
Faith in a political party or Government to solve our problems and look out for us.
Marriage before financial stability is achieved, which is the major cause of break up of the family. (This one is really Big.)
Too many illegitimate children
Illegal drug use along with distribution
Phony disability
Divorce
Apathy and Ignorance
Crime
Greed
Trying to acheve the American Dream, which in most cases would be a myth.
Dependence on God or Religion. God helps those who get off their *** and work. Everyone should try it it really works.
Crying and whinning among various groups. Demanding a special deal. Why? Well just because! Poor little us!

As I mentioned the list is endless. I would hope you get the idea by now. Oh yes, I fully realize that there will not be 1 in 50,000 who will come close to agreement. And that is why this country will continue to decline. In 10 years, possibly less, think of what I have said.
In closing, making it a point NOT to be politically correct, the multitudes that will make some snide comment can get screwed right along with the horse they rode in on.

human beings have been asserting this interior the Eighties. Iran had humiliated the US in the process the hostage disaster, the Vietnam nonetheless loomed super in absolutely everyone's memory, Japan appeared to be trouncing the US economically, the Soviet Union become making beneficial factors in needed united statesa., Afghanistan and Africa. considering that then we've seen the crumple of the U.S., the overwhelming victory in Gulf conflict a million, the decline of Japan's financial place and the US has enjoyed the longest era of financial growth in history. i'm paying for into the declining US bit. China is thoroughly based on the US as a industry. China won't proceed to enhance except it is going to become a democracy with a loose press and shrink corruption. No danger of that taking place quickly. No different usa can come close to to matching the US militarily.

Yes, I do. I think our culture is morally declining. I don't think we are declining politically too much, though I believe we should actually become less involved in world affairs. I don't think any event could be pinpointed as bringing a downfall.

No. But I do think it is in the process of a sweeping change. Being as diverse as this country is, change has to come and it is always painful for at least some of our citizens if not all. Every generation that has passed complained about the changes that they witnessed during thier life times as they age. THings in our society that we have thought of as "rocks" such as mainstream religions and politial parties are going to have to change or fade away. Change is good usually but can cause much strife. As with everything in life change is growth and growth means life. To not change is to die.

No no no, we are getting better. We no longer have slavery, we have child labor laws, women have more rights. Look at our history, there are some bad things in our past that have been fixed. These were before our lifetimes but many evils and bad things have been done away with. We just still have a long way to go.

We are the most powerful military nation in the world. we have so much put into military. But since nasa was shut down we have been lessening our power over other countries. We may hold military powers but who to advance them and how? Thats where those countries with higher education and grades beat us.
