Tendons connect bones to muscle. Without tendons, the bones cannot move on its own when the muscles move because the muscles and the bones are independent of one another. With tendons around, the bone and the muscle are connected.

So, when the muscle moves, the bone can now move along.

Tendons are a connective tissue which connect the bones to muscles. Tendons are what enable the bones and muscles to move and functions together. So, basically, without the tendon, the bones and the muscles are not connected to each other. So when the muscle moves,the bone also moves with it, making your body move.
