As most informed citizens know by now, President Bush is an admitted member of The Order of Skull and Bones, one of the most secretive societies in the world. When asked about it, he (as do all the other members) quickly ends the conversation by stating that he can't say anything about it. What do you think of our Commander in Chief having a divided allegiance to both the State and a non-governmental organization that we know nothing about? (A quick note: This has nothing to do with 9/11 conspiracies. I realize that will be most people's gut reaction, as would mine, but that is not the case. My question is what it is; there are no intended implications regarding an "inside job.")

Some of you don't seem to be following me. I realize Bush had a troubled past: I don't CARE. What's done is done; I don't even care that he was a member of Skull and Bones. I care that he still has an ALLEGIANCE to Skull and Bones, when a President - like any public official - has an obligation to be a trustworthy individual so we the people can feel protected by our government. It's not a thing of his past if he still has allegiance to it. And quit drawing political assumptions: I'm a conservative; John Kerry is not my "friend;" Kerry is a bigoted hack. Period.

Actually, President Bush is not a Freemason. The last Freemason who was President of the US was Gerald Ford. Skull & Bones seems creepy, but we fear what we don't understand, so maybe the fear comes from a bunch of Oliver Stone wannabes.

He also has an allegiance to his family. Should we know how many times a week he screws Laura?? Plenty of leaders have allegiences to many things religous, political fraternal etc... Thats the probem with people today. You think you have a right to know everything, but you don't. What the man does in his private life ( 40 years ago) is his business. Unless it can be proven that his allegiance to something else is compromising his job as president and that has not been proven in the least, it is none of your or anyone elses concern. Yes, I know you think it has, but that is all opinion, spewed by the preachers to their choir. All unfounded and unproven with zero concrete evidence to back it up.

Honestly, I don't think it's a huge issue. everyone has an allegance to more than just country! the most important (to most) being their family. I don't think it's any more a conflict of interest to be a Skull and Bones, than it is to have a family. I guess I don't know how they seek to influence the President (if at all). but assuming it is just a secret society (of which there are many many more then just the Skull and Bones, which btw most people in politics have some asscociation with at least one) then there is really no reason for alarm. think of it as a VERY rich, VERY secret fraternity, which is no more dangerous than a reguar fraternity. secret things are not always dangerous things, they just like their privacy.

I could care less, personally. I look at the S&BS as being nothing more than any other fraternal organization found on college campusses across the globe. Now the Masons, they did some crazy stuff in the early 19th century; enough to make several of our founding fathers drop out.

I'm saddened by the lack of concern re S&B it's hardly quite innocent. All anyone has to do b4 answering this with a supposed guess is to briefly look it up on the Web. Hitler was known to have said something like 'it is nice when the people ignore what the govt is doing' and I understand that it is way out there to believe that this 'Xtian' Pres is capable of evil works. Anybody who wants some further mind-blowing info to chew on(that offers possibilities and determined results)just goto 'NWO,Index ard Truth;Wake-up America'. As you will see it does concern US.

So is John Kerry. So what? It's not a secret society, it more like a fraternity. It's about as important as being a member of the Kiwanis or Lions clubs.

I have no problem with it. It is considered a privilege to be tapped at Yale for this organization. Has nothing to do with current politics or policy.

We've always known that he was a frat boy. Do you want to be judged by your associations when you were young and intoxicated?

I think that its funny that these silly little men and their silly little secret societies think they are so important. I can't wait till it all blows up in their faces and all their money and gold is worthless.
