If you have nothing against Gay people then in that respect I am a Christian like yourself. If you put all gay people into a group who gives good relationship advice then you are arrogant like myself. Still a Christian though.

Its not a matter of should or shouldnt. Do you WANT to be okay or not? Being a Christian doesnt mean that you should have no free will and opinion. This is what some nasty people who only want to control the masses want from you. Do you think Jesus would hang around with people like Bush or the rich conservatives who support extreme capitlalism or with the constantly accused and stoned at homosexuals trying to protect them?

Why wouldnt you be?
In my opinion relgion should be used as a guideline, not as a forced structure to live your life by. Be friends with people you like the people you trust and get along with regardless of sexuality, race religion. At the end of the day if you fell down and hurt yourself who would pick you up and care for you a gay friend or the bible?

As a Christian think it's important for us to remember that Jesus gave us 2 laws that encompass our total moral responsibility;

1) love God with all our heart and mind and soul

2) love our neighbor as our self

He didn't say it's ok to treat our neighbor like crap if he happens to be a thief, or cheats on his or her spouse, or is a liar, or is gay, or for any other reason, including if he's not our race, or color, or religion. There are no qualifications on rule # 2 except this "whatsoever ye would that men do unto you, do ye likewise unto them".

Hate and evil and violence never won any converts. Love is the only thing that can change people on the inside. As Christians we are to spread the message to everyone that God loves them.

We are not to treat our neighbor the way we think he deserves, nor the way we think he would treat us if our roles were reversed, but the way we would like to be treated, period.

Yes. Even IF you don't believe in our relationships, you shouldn't HATE. That's all. By hating you turn OFF any chance to talk to us at all. I have never seen the amount of hate coming from "so called christians" as I do on Yahoo! I don't know if its the anonymity the web offers them to Bash or the fact they aren't really christians and just use that label to attack others.

Either way, if someone like you approached, I'd be more than willing to speak. Others, not so much.

I am a Christian, and I have gay friends. They also know that I do not agree with their lifestyle choices. It all goes back to love the sinner not sin. When you look at it like that, you are a sinner and I am a sinner; all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Homosexuality is just a sin. The person is just sinning just like you and me do. Love the people that is what Jesus would do. He loves gays just as much as he loves anybody else, so we should too.

If you really want to know what we "should" be like...
Everybody should be OK with everybody. Period. Muslims should be OK with christians, straights should be OK with gays, whites should be OK with blacks. But that's not always how it *is,* is it? :(

No matter what religion you are, I can't understand why you would have anything against anyone because of the color of their skin, the country they come from, or what they do in their beds. As long as they don't hurt you, why should you have a problem with anyone? The silly things people find to divide themselves from other people never cease to amaze me...:(

yes you should be okay, after all isn't that what the bible teaches. I think it talks about do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I believe there is one verse in the whole bible that deals with homosexuality. It couldn't have been that big of a deal. I believe my God is a good god, loving, and tolerant.

I am a Christian! I do not condone, neither do I condemn. That is for God to do. It is our duty to love all people and be civil to them. Advice has nothing to do with sexuality. It is its usefulness that counts regardless of who gives it. P.S. People are people!

There's something in the Bible to defend whatever viewpoint you already hold. That said, it might do you good to try to see us as just people instead of fetishizing how lovely and awesome your queer friends are. No one wants to be your pet homosexual.
