To really enjoy Mel Brooks, try High Anxiety or Young Frankenstein...A good John Candy movie is Uncle Buck. And Bill Pullman was the prez. in Independence Day.

One of the reasons SPACEBALLS sucked so badly was that it had all been done first and better ten years before in HARDWARE WARS. That's the one to watch if you are looking for STAR WARS parody. If you are looking for good Mel Brooks then you are pretty much limited to YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN.
