I just wanted to know if you can play Lego star wars 2 for the xbox 360 on xbox live? It has the xbox live symbol on the cover but I cant seem to find a way to play it online. Thanks in advance for the help.

I dont think you can. The xbox live symbol just means it is Xbox Live Aware(People can see what game your playing and send you messages and stuff)

The xbox live means many different things, you can read the specifications it can achieve on the back of the 360 game box.
here are some examples of what games can do...
1- play online in matches
2- download content from xbox live markeplace
3- xbox 360 game aware- players can see your stage in teh game
check the back of your box, and do this before each new game you purchase, as it may avoid disappointment
