Well, it wasn't a very explosive event. The US Geological service records a moderate offshore earthquake near Samar, but the most recent event on their list was another moderate earthquake near Guam.
Perhaps a more mundane lava flow like happens in Hawaii all the time, and possible lahor, so go to high ground if you are near where a land flow might go.

OMG! I'm from the Philippines! How bad is it??? Hope your fine and stay away from lava or any volcanic soot.

are you ok ???try to stay away from the hot stuff...soak you cloths in water and put something over you mouth dont breath the ashes.you will be ok!!! you in our prayers.
