I love the plots and characters. I wish they had a better clothing policy (i.e. the Major should where some). I think the psychology of it is great. I love the intrigue. I also love the very premise of looking beneath the shell to the "Ghost" inside.

i quote this from someone. It is not for people without imagination or impressionable mush in their heads. I loved it. It is just very complex as it integrates the Stand Alone Complex philosophy into the first movie and series. The second movie explores why humans must recreate themselves and immortalize its image in dolls. I like the series a lot better than the movie though. Major is my favorite, but Batou also kicks ****.

Excellent!! Loved both of them, and the Stand Alone Complex series that can be seen on Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network.
The idea and stories are visionary and the characters are interesting to note. Their personalities and their teamwork is cool to watch.

One of the most beautifully animated anime i have ever seen. The storyline is great nothing to over top(which is great) the viewer can take something from it on many levels. Same with the charcters as well. its an all time fave.

Lots of interesting concepts but the presentation is boring to me.
It alternates action scenes with long scenes of people talking and explaining things. A better route would have been to integrate the action with the philosophy to make the film more organic.

ehh...its ok...i used to watch it....but ya...it's not the best there are way better anime
