Boredom is the result of having higher expectations than you are willing to commit to.

Human boredom is basically when you're not interested in anything at all. You have nothing to do, you are useless in that area. However, I don't understand why people are always bored. There are so many things to do in life, be creative. Use your brain and you could do so many things. Draw a picture, fly a kite, and don't do these things in sadness like that's all you can do. People don't realize how interesting and fun life could be if they really took the time to live it and understand things. Simple life and chaos and creativity lives should be balanced together to not pursue boredom. A variety of anything will make things better.

Human boredom is created by stagnation; it is the inability to see progress from something that we are doing. If the monopoly piece realise that it is going around in an infinity square, I am pretty sure that it will become frustrated as well. A “simple life” is a matter of perspective. What might be simple for one might be fascinating for another. Some enjoy the complexity of the mind while others get their rush from jumping head first out of a plane 30,000 feet up. Boredom, chaos and creativity are all a matter of perspective; the trick is to understand where you as an individual genuinely stand in the lineup.

Human boredom is created by having nothing to do or not knowing what you want to do. Kids with no chores will get bored…people with no jobs will get bored…soldiers with no battle will get bored…
Even if you have a little or a lot to do, but you do not have to do it right now and you choose not to do it right now, then you end up having nothing to do in that moment and then you feel bored. So boredom is just the lack of having something to do that you have to do. The only time I feel bored is when, even if I have 20 things to do, I do not have to do anything right now, so it is like I have nothing to do. Nothing is calling for my immediate attention. I could be having a nap right now, it would not matter. I could watch a movie, I could read a book, I could eat, I could take a bath, I could go shopping, I could do anything but I cannot make a decision of what I really want to do so I do nothing and suddenly I realize I am bored and then I feel guilty because I envy those people who do things because they have to, they have no choice: they have to go to work, they have to take care of their kids, they have to do this or that. They may feel trapped in their life but not bored.
As for the “simple life”, what is that? An oxymoron or a 2003 TV reality television series on Fox? Life cannot be simple by nature. What is your idea of a simple life? A mother, a father, a lasting marriage, 2 and a half kids, a dog and a white picket fence? Or maybe it is just not being a Hollywood star partying with drug and alcohol? Or is a simple life just an unknown farmer milking the cows?
I think the so called “simple life” is just chaos in disguise, something that rich people really would like to get a hang on…
Creativity, yes, that means something new, right. So when you get bored, all you have to do is get a new idea, be inventive and innovative and creative… So I spent half of my day in my cozy bed dreaming about a life that becomes as real as the other one…
I do not think people want this (simple life) or pursue that (chaos and creativity). I think we are just adapting to our environment. I never did drug and I really think it is just because I was never exposed to it. I consider myself to having a nice life (if not simple), just because I have health, money and contentment, a 23 years old marriage with two wonderful kids, and the last payment of the mortgage of my house is next month. Also I just got a new grill and a rotisserie for Christmas.
People who seem to “choose” chaos are really people still looking for themselves in somebody else (instead of themselves), and “creativity” is just the expression of that need.

For me - I used to always feel bored, anxious, and crave stimulation and activity. I mean, I could not even sit still until I was almost 40 yrs old. If I did, I felt depressed. I know now that part of it was because I felt empty inside. I had a lot of painful things from my past that were tearing me up. I tried to just forget about it all and move on, but it wasn't that simple. I finally had to do some work on my own to move past some of it and feel at peace. Now I find that I really enjoy being at home a lot more. I still like to go out at least 1 or 2 days a week to do something. I also believe that some people are just naturally born to be out there in the middle of it all and some are born to hibernate. I do think a lot of times though, there may be some deeper reasons.

I am wondering what this 'simple life' is. What is it that any person would want it if it is conducive for "boredom". The Judgment is negative, the Will is positive. The Will as positive is a Will to DO something. If you are assuming chaos and creativity are the same thing, I disagree. The Will in its efforts to be what it is, positive, struggles according to its specific or individual life conditions against sup plantation for the Judgment, to not be supplanted with pure, infinite negativity. In other words we struggle not to become evil and hence the drive to self distraction in, what you named, 'chaos'. In creativity, the individual seeks order and strives against chaos. There is no 'simple life' other than chaos or creativity unless you are describing the empty life. The empty life is full of sameness in action, not by need so much as a negation for wealth; the wealth simply does not exist for these 'simple lives'. But, there is a much grander story to describe how that emptiness is, negation.

What a great question. I think its your frame of reference. If you are accustomed to staying active you will feel disconnected when things slow down. On the other hand, if your life affords you little excitement, then you find something to like about it. When life then gets crazy, Its a scenario outside your comfort zone. In tandem with that, if you have a bad experience in either case, its a tick mark against that scenario, and a good experience, the same is true in the positive direction.

Individuality is what helps a species survive. If we all agreed on everything and all wanted to do the same thing, things wouldn't get invented. We'd eventually make a bad decision and all run off a cliff like lemmings. Variety in interests has made mankind powerful. (Not that that's necessarily a good thing.)

In my opinion if you are really bored you need to see a Dr. Or talk to someone and figure out why you are bored. Everyone is different and does things for different reasons some for fun some for adventure some to be evil all different reasons. You need to figure out why you think you are bored. Boredom is a disease like depression in my opinion it is a sign of depression so you need to ask yourself are you bored OR are you unhappy? Then you need to think about things and consider making some changes.
