First, nobody in the press or fan base was supposed to know they were married. It was thought this would kill record and concert sales. John had to be sexually desirable and available as the leader of the band (after Pete Best left, of course).

Second, no marriage easily survives that kind of travel schedule. Even though Cyn traveled with them often, the last straw for her was being mistaken for a fan at Paddington train station in London and denied entry to the train. This was the trip the Fab Four and their families took to India. Cyn said she felt it was a symbol of how life was for her and Julian, and that was that.

Cyn and Julian had a rough go of it. "Hey Jude" is Paul telling Julian everything will be better in the end. It wasn't.

The Beatles experience broke up John's marriage, estranged him from his first son, estranged him from his friends for the longest time, got him strung out on Heroin and other drugs, got Stu Sutcliffe, his best friend, killed in Hamburg, and ultimately got him killed by a nutter fan. I'd say for the Lennon's it was a horrific experience.

If you've not heard the remix by George and Giles Martin done for the Cirque du Soliel show, Love, you must. It is genius, pure and simple. If you can listen to the DTS 5.1 mix on DVD-Audio, do. WOW!

Having read "The Da Vinci Code", I was left with the firm impression, reading between the lines, that Cynthia was from the bloodline of Jesus and Mary Magdalen

As far as i have read she walked out on him and not the other way round because she found him with Yoko

she was also very cold emotionally
and John wanted warmth
he was very imaginative and spontaneous
which Cynthia never was

he was mostly out touring and Cynthia never accompanied him
and she got pregnant when he wasn't ready to be a father
in her own words 'she wanted to give him stability'
As if that's what he needed then.

another version mentions that she also cheated on him
don't know if that's true

For John I think she got in the way. Now Paul took care of her (emotionally) more than john did, so she didn't get in the way too much. Remember they made sure no one knew John was married.

their marriage was on shaky ground for a while, i mean come on, the MOST famous band in the universe! it comes with a price. I think once he married Yoko and left the beatles he saw what his life with the beatles could do to a marriage and did it more properly with yoko and sean. IT doesnt matter, they were happy and some dumb s h i t took it away

Don't get me wrong, he was a brilliant man, but any man who leaves his child any really never contacts him is an a$s. He truly is a legend but he wasn't thinking too well when he left his first wife for Yoko Ono of all people. I mean come one; when I here her sing in one of his songs it literally almost breaks my ear drums. She SUCKS!

I think John was just going crazy from too much pot. I mean, seriously, why else would he leave his wife for that witch?
