I guess you don't know. My husband and I had a child and broke off our relationship before she was born. I was pretty much just accepting things were over and we were just frinds. Then we started to hang out and all the sudden he was kissing me. We dated for awhile and then got married and have been for 9 years.
You have to be okay with yourself regardless of whether you and he get back together. Get a hobby, new excercise program, anything to take your mind off it that is positive. If you make your life what you want it, the right person, and perhaps your ex, will want to be part of that.

u will know by his actions toward u, are they the actions of just a friend, or Thant of a lover, one who is interested in having more than just a friendship with u. u could ask him what kind of feelings he has for u, and if he can ever see himself with u again. sometimes we don't ask because we may fear rejection and hurt. if u can say he brings u more happiness than pain than maybe u will get back with him. all relationships that end didn't end on a bad note, so sometimes there is a chance of getting back together.

I hate to break it to you but you can't expect to be genuine friends if that question is hanging over your heads. If you can't have a relationship without expecting to end up back together, best end it. Otherwise, stay friends and let things happen as they happen, without wishing and manipulating. Good luck.

you wont know if you two get back together unless you still feel for him and he flirts with you.
BUT be careful. he could be flirting with you with the only intention of getting in your pants and thats it. if he doesnt commit before fooling around with you and he flirts, he only wants some hooky.
if he doesnt flirt at all, he doesnt like you like that anymore.
and if he flirts without wanting a little hooky unless he and you know you'll get back together, then you two might get together again
