There is no need of a formula for converting hours into minutes.
We know that there is 60 minutes in an hour and hence if you just multiply the hour/s by 60 you get the minutes.

60 min = 1 hour.
If you divide both sides by 60 min you get
1 = 1 hour/60 min.
If you divide both sides by 1 hour you get
1 = 60 min/ 1 hour

If you need to convert the units in an equation you are working on you insert (i.e. multiply by) either of the above "equations" since they are both equal to 1.
