they don't hurt that badly, but if you have very overcrowded teeth, they will hurt a bit. it's nothing you are going to cry over. a little bit of ice will handle it. good luck

Spacers are no problem at all. All the ortho. does is take a little metal tweezers and push the rubber in between the teeth usually to make way for the bands. It feels like a chunk of meat is stuck where you normally floss. Don't worry about it at all. It should be no problem. At least you are not getting poked by a needle :) I hope everything workes out for you :)

My beautiful daughter had the most crooked teeth. She had to have eight teeth pulled just to get braces. The braces and spacers hurt her, but she would tell anyone that her beautiful smile was worth all of the pain. It is a pain that you can live with. Just take some Tylenol or Aleve.

i had them when i was a kid . sadly after a time i insisted they be taken out. i should have left them in now i have receding gums .
take a piece of string butchers string you know the kind your mom has in the kitchen drawer and attempt to put that between two of your teeth at the front that are to close together. that is how much it hurts . not much really and its lots better then the kids who have to wear braces. get them keep them in and do it all as the dentist says because years later and surprise that is not long from now you will either be glad you left them in or really pi$$ed you didn't

If you hurt easy, then the first 4 or 5 days will be bad, but then OK after that. The good they do is so worth a little pain to start. When done, your smile will be gorgeous.

I hated them, that's what I think the worst part about braces is. They don't "hurt". They just get really annoying, like food stick in your teeth, and your teeth feel sensitive.
I'm getting my braces out in...6 days <33

spacers for braces........none at all really it feels like there is a piece of steak caught in your teeth that you cant dig out kinda annoying but bareable and people are like i feel so sorry for you braces hurt soo bad and i dont think they hurt at all than what people said they would they are more annoying like food getting stuck in them than pain wise..........p.s. torquoise (or aqua) and lime green i personally think are the prettiest colors on braces

if you are refering to the orthodontic work, it hurts a little so just take tylenol or aspirin about 30 minutes before and it should help. I had braces for four years so trust me on this.

I couldn't even eat for a few days because it hurt so bad. Try pain relievers, they help alot. It also hurts to laugh.
