My partner has an old hotmail account that he used in his previous marriage and insists it's been deleted. This is his computer I'm using and on two occassions when I've tried to log onto my hotmail account this old email address has appeared on the screen (Sign in Box).
He tells me he hasn't been on this account and that his computer sometimes automatically pops up this OLD EMAIL address ! (in the Sign in Box) STRANGE......is this possible? How do I find out if his account is still activated or maybe when it was last used??

Your browser can sometimes store information you have entered into form fields (such as an email login form) so that you do not have to enter this information each time you visit the site.

In order to see if this is a new value that has been stored after recent use or an old value which has been on the computer for some time delete it from the browsers memory (instructions in sources) and see if it reappears.

Hotmail closes inactive accounts after 6(I think)months. You can still login into an account which has been set as inactive but all contacts/emails will have been removed (and if memory serves it shows a screen on first login telling you why)

You could request that he sign into the old account with you present. If it has not been used/accessed in over 6months then there should be no emails/contacts and you should see the info screen first.

probably a cookie....delete them and see what happens. You would need his password to see if the account still works, but most likely all the old emails have been removed by Hotmail, if the account is still there

welll if he left his hotmail for too long, then it more then likely has been deleted, and for it constantly popping up, the address is saved so when ever you open hotmail.com the address shows up

i'm not particular what company he belongs to, yet from a Catholic attitude, someone can attend any style of Mass. they could't receive the Holy Eucharist, yet they're many times there. A funeral Mass is Mass + the funeral ceremony. a wedding ceremony Mass is Mass + the marriage ceremony. etc. without understanding what company you communicate of, i could not probably allow you to already know of any loop holes. in the journey that they expel him for going to a funeral, i do not see a lot element of continuing with them.
