Wash it in cold water and DON'T DRY it in the dryer. The dryer is the usual culprit in shrinkage.

Yes you can wash then in cold water and hang them, but they will be as stiff and itchy as ever. Turn them inside out and machine wash cold delicate cycle. Then when you dry them use the lowest heat setting possible and get them out before they dry completely but are almost dry. You should now have clean unshrunken shirts.

the best thing to do is to wash it in cold and than let it air dry. heat from the washer and dryer is what causes clothes to shrink.

Wash that baby in cold water and stretch it over something to dry. I suggest you add fabric softener to the rinse so it doesn't get stiff and uncomfortable to wear....
