Try using different objects to create your image.
Eg - If drawing animals try adding a bit of wool or cotton as 'fur'.
Try making a collage, find a big piece of card and cut out pictures of things you like and stick them all together. You could even collect pictures of the same thing, such as flowers or dogs? These will look really kool when you have finished and would make a good piece of art!
Also try adding a little bit of color to your pencil drawing, eg - If drawing a portrait, colour the lips in but leave the rest black and white. This looks really funky!
Use the backs of cereal boxes as a good canvas!

why dont you try leading your windows, the lead is available in rolls with an adhesive backing you could do the traditional diamond or let you imagination run riot and do designs like flowers abstract, art nevi you could also do mirrors and glass ware you could then follow on by painting in your designs using glass paint check out you local suppliers or web for a range of colours

you can cut apart old nylons into 'strips', making sure they're still round. from there, you can finger weave or try normal weaving to make potholders and such.
