a major key to anyone trying to develop their shot, is that they don't use their legs. many people, especially guys will try to use their arms only (as many pros might appear to do). the truth is, that the pros all use their legs to power their shot, arms are there to give the ball spin and direction, but not to power the shot. Keep using your proper technique, but bend your knees to about 120 degrees, and push up as you shoot (will take some getting used to).

I can only give you the proper technique. It takes a lot of practice, and the three isn't easy...that's why there are only about 375 pro basketball players!
Use the B E E F method.
Balance (self explanatory)
Eyes (Eye on your target)
Elbow (Elbow should be out)
Follow Through
It's a quite simplified answer, and if you are using proper technique, it will just be a matter of time before you start hitting your shot. You need to take 100s of shots a day if you want to be real good.

When my shots are short, I usually concentrate on the snap of my wrist and exaggerate my follow through. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not. If not, I take a few steps forward. But the key is practice and practice. Good luck.

what you want to do is properly handle the ball right when you shoot. its kinda hard to explain.but you want to put plenty of power in it and give it some henderson, or where ever youre from. just look at where youre shooting and aim

the first step is to use your legs more. try to jump toward your target or straight up. next is your follow thru. after u shoot the ball, your elbow needs to be over your eyes. hence the term elbows over eyes.

What a fat ***? Honestly! Who would think of incorporating food into basketball? "B E E F".... Horrible acronym
Seriously though you need strength training on your arm. biceps and forearm. Shoulders too. Lift weights and increase the intensity.
