Check out the local salons and see what each one has to offer. Purchase only tanning lotions made for tanning beds and make sure the lotion has mosturizer in it. Buying visits than buying a month is more suitable if you cannot go everyday. When you first start tanning only stay in for 10 minutes the first couple of times and gradually work yourself up to 20 minutes 2 to 3 times a week. You can then go just 1 to 2 days. Always use a mosturizer after you shower. This will help you maintain your tan and keep you from getting leather skin. (Which only happens to people who over do the tanning anyway. Never do more than 20 minutes) Tanning in a tanning bed is safer and less time consuming than laying out in the sun and you can relax while in the salon if the setting is right. As for spray on tans, well, I would ask around. They are not always such a good idea (if you have acne, it will make it show worse, and has been known to cause some people to breakout even worse, as well as cause rashes on others.) With age comes experience, so heres a bit from me to you, I had a young girl come into my salon last year before prom time and wanted to tan, her friends talked her into going with them to have the spray on done. She got the spray on the day before the prom as they had suggested and by morning was welped up on her chest, face and arms. The spray was done unevenly as well. After several showers the spray finally was off, but she missed prom. So be careful. I know some who have luck with them and many who havent.
There are alternates for a quick tan, but they only last for a few hours or days. Check out all your possiblities and then try them out.
If you decide to tan indoors, use goggles and dont tan with makeup on.

Happy Tanning!!

When you go to a tanning salon but their tanning lotion and aftercare lotion. Once you have obtained your tan if you keep your skin moisterized properly it will last approximately 2 weeks without tanning again.

Try the spray on (airbrush) tan instead. It usually lasts a week or two, and you won't look like a leather purse when you get older.

i bypass tanning because I artwork consistently and merely don't have the time to position out and my suggestion is in case you tan basic, you received't turn orange. merely be particular to moisturize alot and your tan will very last more.
