Sorry - but Bush is not a conservative, we do not claim him.

Liberal is not a nasty name nor is conservative.

We need to learn to work together. My side isn't always right nor yours. Our country needs both points of view.

But I repeat - Bush is NOT a conservative.

You'll get used to criticism after you have had more practice in Answers. Why are you proud to be a liberal?

They should spend less time bashing liberals and more time bashing themselves. A conservative now is so far from what it you to be. Conservative philosophy use to mean less spending and small government, and this administration is pretty much the opposite of that. So stop blindly attacking others and take a good, hard look at yourselves..

Right wingers don't know the real meaning of being Liberal. From watching Fox news and listening to rush Limbaugh, they think it is synonymous with anti-Christ or something like that.

Having nothing to offer the majority of Americans, Republicans have historically created an enemy and brainwashed people into following.

Over the years there have been immigrants (the first round), union activists, anarchists socialists and communists, war protesters, drug users to name a few.

Having run out of targets Nixon created the specter of "Liberalism", as a threat to America.

Many who have self identified as liberal have given the word a bad name. Blame them.

Because calling someone a simplistic name like "liberal" is a lot easier than actually thinking.

Actually, only those who are INFORMED know that liberal is nothing to be proud of anymore.

It was, once, however.

But that was before the Port Huron Statement, George McGovern, the 1968 Democrat Convention, The Weather Underground, Michael Dukakis, et cetera.
