Geez, I guess it's probably because they didn't sign up for the military.

No one "sends" their ADULT children to the military. This is an all volunteer military, as opposed to one drafted by the parents.

Perhaps the question should be...if their father's war is so honorable, why don't the Bush girls volunteer to do their part, join the military and go help the Iraqi people build a free country?

maybe some of you need to do your homework. The draft was used in many wars because the best and brightest was signing up for service. They did it so we would not lose only our brightest young people. as far as the rich kids and wealthy and all that jazz i only want people over there who want to be im sure many of the military would agree

I'm sure your question is figurative, and as little as I'd like to see a draft, because we have nephews who are of draftable age, I think it's the only fair solution. If the children of a few senators were all of a sudden in danger of being sent to Iraq, I think we'd figure a way out!

Because we have a voluntary military and nobody is required to join. (USMC 1989-1994)

We have an all volunteer force. But this question is just silly. Let's break this one down and use a little logic. Having his daughters over there would be a nightmare for security. They would be targeted by the insurgents for their value alone. This would tie up too many people who are needed to fulfill other jobs, other than baby sitting the Big Bosses kids. Ya see what I mean?

We. Have. A. Volunteer. Military.

Only adults can join, so it's ultimately the prospective person's choice to join.

Maybe because they are 25 years old. That makes them adults who make their own decisions.

He only cares about using the lives and money of other people to get more money and power for himself. The main purpose of the Iraq war was to insure his reelection. We could have been using water for fuel since about 1965, but that would have just ruined everything. ~
