im 17 and my best friend and i went to the movies and we usually go to starbucks afterwards and just catch up. well last night my best friend gets on her phone and starts chatting away with some guy. as we reach my car she tells the person on the phone to wait a second while she talks to one of her friends and says to me hey do u mind... i just slammed my car door in her face and left. she ditched me for some guy and im not apologizing. my best friend since 7th grade left me for a guy i thought friends were supposed to be there since i did ditch my boyfriend to go out with her. i do have a right to be mad dont i? im not the one thats going to apologize thats for sure. whats my next move though?

Be the bigger person and call her up and talk about what happened. Try not to let pride ruin a good friendship. Remember that she loves you and you love her and that love always forgives and does not want to cause intentional pain. I know that you were hurt when you felt she chose the guy over you - Let her know that you were hurt but also be willing to forgive her and do apologize for your part. This will heal your hearts so you can go on being best friends and loving each other like you do best. All the Best!

Wow! I would hate to see you at your friends wedding! You have got to calm down, this has nothing to do with her not wanting to spend time with you. Your 17 acting like your In 7th grade. You shouldn't apologize at all your stupid attitude shows her that If you have been or continue to act like that she doesn't need you. As we get older we become a little more mature. We meet people that we have a lot In common with. Venturing out and finding other people to connect with Is the circle of life and as long as you try to hold your friend down you will soon end up without her at all. Would It had been so bad to try and find out who this person Is and maybe share her joy or Is It always going to be about what you want!?!

well, you weren't too nice about it either. what you should do is calm down, call her, explain how that hurt your feelings that you broke typical plans so she could spend time with a guy. also, she did ask if you cared... but you got all mad & over-reacted.

i would say that you should call her & say you are sorry for over-reacting, but not for being upset about the situation. then explain to her why it upset you so much. that is what she needs to know-- and that you ditched your boyfriend to go out with her.

so, i would say that you should meet in the middle on this one. plus, is it really worth a huge fight???
